I graduated from North Carolina State University where I studied Human Biology. I was always interested in anatomy and physiology throughout high school and college, but the idea of physical therapy was very abstract to me. It wasn’t until my sister was injured that I started to understand the impact physical therapy could have on a person’s overall well-being. My family had visited numerous doctors, specialists, and physical therapists to try and help my sister’s chronic pain but none of them could adequately address the physical and mental problems regarding her condition.Â
Thankfully, we were introduced to the Myokinetix team, who offered a type of treatment my family had never experienced before. They got to know my sister personally and provided more than just rehabilitation. Because of this, I knew I wanted to work at Myokinetix and be able to help other families reach their health goals.
When I’m not at the front desk working, I am usually reading books of the science fiction or fantasy variety, and watching tv shows of the same nature. I’m also a big fan of baking and I believe chocolate chip cookies to be the best dessert.
