ACL & Meniscus Tears Injuries From Youth Sports
ACL injuries and meniscus tears can be come from a variety of sports that your child may take part in, such as soccer, basketball, football, and lacrosse. Research shows approximately 1 in 5 people will suffer a second ACL tear.
Knee fractures may be the result of your child falling on their knee, a collision, or car accident that forces the joint against the dashboard. A fracture can be an uncomplicated and clean break or, worse, the bone can fragment into many pieces.

“After tearing my ACL freshman year of high school and having reconstruction surgery, I was in physical therapy at two other places for almost a year. A few months after the first surgery, I had to go in for a second touch-up surgery because my knee was still giving me trouble. Months after this surgery I was still having problems and had to have a final OATS procedure. After this surgery, my surgeon recommended me to Myokinetix and I will be forever grateful that he did. “I came into Myokinetix with a partially torn labrum and bicep tendon and was under the impression that I probably would need surgery. This surgery would ultimately have crushed my dream to play collegiate baseball. Once I had my first meeting I had a sense of hope. I previously went to other physical therapists who all took a different approach with my shoulder but lacked an answer to the questions of why. Questions such as Why am I doing this?
